Testimonial from Alex V. of Arizona:
We wanted you to know how much we love our new Eastern awnings. Our neighbors are envious and more than a few have asked us where we found them. We have the SunScape awnings and couldn't be happier with the way they make our home look and how much fun we've been able to have outdoors again. We're cooking out more and spending more time just watching the hummingbirds at their feeders.
Everyone we spoke with was helpful, patient and kind. You have a great product and an exceptional team of experts. Thank you!
Eastern Awnings of Watertown, Connecticut is owned by Stephen Lukos. Lukos' father distributed and sold aluminum siding, doors, replacement windows and awning frames. After Stephen took over the business he became frustrated with the low quality of many awnings coming from Europe. He began manufacturing and perfecting lateral-arm awnings, and has three product patents and two more pending. His innovations such as the urethane compression shoulder joint have moved Eastern Awnings to the forefront of awning manufacture. Eastern Awnings is a wholesale distributor.
Eastern manufactures a range of retractable awnings for residential and commercial applications. These can be wall or roof mounted. A photo gallery of both ordinary and unusual applications can be viewed at the website.
Valances are made of solution dyed acrylic. The color is locked into the yarn for long-lasting, fade-resistant awnings. There are hundreds of colors and patterns to choose from.
Worldscreen solar screens are a part of the Eastern Awnings group.
Another area where Eastern Awnings are superior is in their certified, engineered wind load technology. Any awning should be able to handle ordinary breezes, but wind storms can be devastating to outdoor window coverings. The Sunflexx awnings are rated by the number of support arms, length and width. A chart is available on the web site showing the wind speeds each awning size can withstand. Even the largest are certified for 32 mph winds. Sunflexx, the top-of-the-line model, will handle more wind than any other awning on the market, and also features a hidden front rail so that there is no visible bar to contrast with the fabric.
Their mid-price option is called the SunScape with stainless steel cables and fasteners. SunScape can be manually retracted or fitted with a motor. The Mini model for windows can be wired to operate from inside a home.
Awnings come in widths up to 80', with four standard projection lengths up to 11' 6". White and bronze finishes are available on powder-coated frames. Eastern Awning frames are 100% American made with a limited 5-year warranty. An optional Wind and Rain Package is offered to allow use in a greater variety of weather conditions.
For well-engineered and well-built awnings one can do no better than to look for Eastern Awnings products.
